Standard First Aid & CPR / AED
** All courses meet Occupational Health and Safety guidelines for Federally regulated work places. **
AED/CPR A
Presents the basic procedures for adult resuscitation and first aid. The course focuses on the immediate lifesaving measures that can be taken for an adult who is choking or suffering from a heart episode. Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) training provides hands-on experience using the device on adults.
AED/CPR B
This course covers all of the topics in the Level A, but includes procedures for dealing with resuscitation, first aid and heart episodes in children and infants.
AED/CPR C
This course covers all of the topics in Levels A & B for assisting adults, children and infants, but includes two rescuer procedures.
AED/CPR C Health Care Provider (HCP)
The course is designed for the Health Care professional. Topics include bag valve mask skills in addition to health care provider standards for the resuscitation of adults, children and infants.
Babysitting Basics
The course is aimed at 11-16 year olds interested in taking responsibility for younger children. In-class content includes safety practices, child care basics, introductory first aid and activities to try. Hands-on participation and skill development are the focus.
Home Alone
This course is designed to provide children aged 9-14 years with the necessary skills and knowledge to be safe and responsible when home alone for short periods of time.
